What is financial coaching and how is that different from a financial advisor?

Let me first define what a financial advisor is as this Is the more common role more commonly known.  Financial advisors make recommendations on specific investments based on the client’s risk, age to retirement, and financial plans.  They help with determining retirement planning and asset diversification.  However, some people seek out a financial advisor when they do not have any assets to investment yet, so what they really need is help saving for investing.
This is where a financial coach can help.  A financial coach helps someone setup a budget, track their expenses, pay down debt, and save.  They can help provide the tools and methods to assist in budgeting, provide encouragement and hope when needed, and help keep the vision of the end in view.
